Obama Continues To Sink Like A Stone
Obama窶冱 Presidential Approval Index Rating (measured by Rasmussen as the difference between those that strongly approve and those that strongly disapprove of the President) dipped even lower to a score of -11 today. It is the lowest result ever for President Obama and indicative of a continuing downward trend in his popularity. Overall just 49% approve of President Obama窶冱 performance, down from 65% on January 21st.
It is also four percentage points lower than the amount of Americans that voted for Obama in November.
There are many reasons for this decline. Obama窶冱 mouth has written a lot of checks that his actions have not been able to cash. He threatened that without the stimulus plan unemployment would soar about 8%. Even with it unemployment is now in the mid nines. He and his surrogates have complained that they had no idea how bad things were. This despite running around telling us how we were in an economic crisis the likes of which had not seen since the Great Depression. Obama has taken over car manufactures while the majority of Americans disagreed with the action. Obama has acted with a heavy hand and ousted corporate executives while the majority of Americans thought he should not. He and liberals in Congress are promoting a second stimulus. Few Americans agree with that strategy. He is promoting Cap and Trade and Socialized Health Insurance. Again most Americans are against these things.
It is no wonder why his popularity is waning. Lots of people did not believe those of us on the right when we told America prior to the election that this is who Obama is, a rabid left wing big government supporter. Now America is waking up and the fact that the economy is not turning around now that the Messiah has ascended to his seat in Washington is helping make the case with many Americans who bought into the hype.
