Charges against Blackwater guards dropped

Charges against Blackwater guards dropped

About freakin' time, but a Happy New Year for five guys who never should have been facing charges in the first place.

WASHINGTON – A federal judge dismissed all charges Thursday against five Blackwater Worldwide security guards accused of killing unarmed Iraqi civilians in a crowded Baghdad intersection in 2007.

U.S. District Judge Ricardo Urbina said Justice Department prosecutors improperly built their case on sworn statements
that had been given under a promise of immunity. Urbina said the
government's explanations were "contradictory, unbelievable and lacking
in credibility."

The decision throws out a case
steeped in international politics. The September 2007 shooting in busy
Nisoor Square left 17 Iraqis dead and inflamed anti-American sentiment
abroad. The Iraqi government wanted the guards to face trial in Iraq and officials there said they would closely watch how the U.S. judicial system handled the case.

This was a political case from the get go, and I firmly believe the only reason these guys faced charges is the we made a deal w/ the Iraqis because they demanded we prosecute before they would sign the security agreement. There were claims that this was a massacre and that there were no shots fired at the convoy. That was always BS and I covered it extensively.

Exclusive- Source confirms convoy was fired on

Hey how do you think that one ass clown who pleaded guilty and tried to rat the other guys out is feeling? Buddy is only half a word, jackass.

Rush Limbaugh’s Lefty Critics

Rush Limbaugh's Lefty Critics

Rush Limbaugh's potty mouth  Early this morning, Wikipedia posted a premature and presumptuous obituary:

"Rush Hudson Limbaugh III (pronounced  /ˈlɪmbɔː/;born January 12, 1951, died December 30, 2009) is an American radio host and conservative political commentator.  He is the host of The Rush Limbaugh Show, the highest-rated talk-radio program in the United States.  It airs throughout the U.S. on Premiere Radio."

That product of wishful thinking on the part of the editors of the free online encyclopedia, which has a distinct liberal slant in its approach to information, was not atypical of leftist sentiment.

At this point in accord with privacy laws, little is known about Limbaugh's condition aside from his being rushed to a Honolulu hospital with chest pains  and assurances on his website that he's resting comfortably and is appreciative of the prayers of his millions of fans.

Most people, even some of his detractors, are wishing him well.

Most people.

Those akin to black comedienne Wanda Sykes who tickled Barack Obama's fancy with her riotously sick "joke" back in May haven't been quite as gracious.

You may remember Wanda's funnies at the White House Correspondents' Dinner when she quipped that Limbaugh was the 20th highjacker on 9/11 but missed his flight because he "was strung out on oxycontin."  She added that he was also guilty of treason.

However, it was her quickwitted comment that, "I hope his kidneys fail" that had Obama rolling in the White House aisles.  See Sykes' and the president's hillarity here:

"The System Worked:" Napolitano Takes Heat For Christmas Terrorism Attempt [Flight Risks]

"The System Worked:" Napolitano Takes Heat For Christmas Terrorism
Attempt [Flight Risks]

As blame for the Christmas bombing attempt flies, and travelers remain
confused about pat-downs and carryons, Janet Napolitano's statement
that "the system worked" is drawing major fire.

Peter Baker of the New York Times Caucus blog writes,

To the list of phrases it may be best for political leaders to avoid
after a major security incident, add "the system worked" right after
"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."

Just as the public did not really share President George W. Bush's
assessment of how things were going after Hurricane Katrina, so too
was there a good deal of skepticism when President Obama's homeland
security secretary declared faith in a system that failed to stop a
guy who tried to blow up a passenger jet on Christmas Day.

According to Baker, Napolitano "does not think the system worked
across the board, only that it worked in terms of the response after
the attempted bombing took place." Understandably, some think our
homeland security should work before someone lights himself on fire ―
and critics are now calling, literally, for Napolitano's head. Baker
quotes Investor's Business Daily: "clearly, Napolitano's head must
roll." The New York Post ran an article with the headline, "Homeland
Chief An Airhead - Says Security System Worked," while the National
Review went for the simpler "Fire Napolitano." Perhaps in response,

Obama Earn An “F”

Obama Earn An "F"

It wasn't all that long ago that President Obama smugly gave himself a
"B+" for his first year in office. It was a laughable assertion from
a man who has trashed the very Constitution of these United States.
Sorry libs, that's the truth. So little that Obama has done is even
within his power that it is laughable that he would even claim to give
himself such a lofty grade.

So we decided to run our own poll at American Conservative Daily to
get a feel for exactly how people thought about Obama's first year.
This, of course, lead to the predictable email assault from the left
accusing us of all sorts of things. Here are some of the best which
are also so incredibly stupid that they again point out how unthinking
liberals really are.

Dan K. wrote:

WTF! How can you expect people to grade the President after less than
a year in office? What the FUCK are you trying to do? It is dumb and
you are bumb(sic)!

Well Dan, it was the President himself when asked what his grade would
be that graded himself FIRST thus making our poll perfectly legitimate
as far as I am concerned.

Debbie complained:

I don't know where Debbie went to school, but I used to get grades
every quarter when I was in high school. A year after his election
this is pretty much a quarter into his term so I don't see the
complaint. In college where semesters were half as long as a grade in
high school I got mid term grades all the time, again a quarter of the
way through the year. So please, spare me the mindless psychobabble.
Oh, and as far as Bush is concerned, the problem right now for the
United States is unchecked federal spending. President Bush did
indeed sign a lot of bills with lots of unconstitutional spending in
them, but Congress writes those bills. Oh … and who was a member of
Congress who ascribed his name to many of those bills? Why could it
have been then Senator Obama? Why yes, I think it was!

Obamatons that wrote to complain about the poll were no doubt upset at
the results they were seeing. The votes were certainly NOT in Obama's
favor. In fact, as the dust settled, the overall consensus was that
Obama had certainly not earned a "B+" by any stretch of the

59% of respondants gave Obama an F flat out. A further 9% gave him a
D-, 8% more gave him a D and 7% more gave him just a D+. Oh SNAP!
The next highest ranking was a C- at 5%. While there were obviously
some people drunk on Obama's cult of personality that decided to vote
in the ...
