Folks, I’m deeply saddened to announce to you today the death of Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple at the age of 56.
Needless to say, this is a very sad day for the world of technology, and beyond. Steve Jobs, through his creations such as the iPhone, the Mac, the iPad as well as many others, has trully enriched our lives, and made the world a better place many times over. I believe this was what he set out to do in this life, and has without a doubt achieved it — better than anyone ever has.
In his honor, Apple has setup a special site on Apple.com at http://apple.com/stevejobs, with an email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) that you can use to share your thoughts, memories and condolences.
In his memory, we’d like to share with you what we believe is one of his most inspiring public appearances, that will hopefully impact your life as much as it has ours; his commencement speech at the University of Stanford in 2005:
Here at AppAdvice we have long admired Steve Jobs and we are deeply saddened by his passing as we are sure many of you are. To mourn we will take a moment of silence to Mr. Jobs, feel free to share your memories or remember as you see fit.
Rest in peace, Steve.
