John Prieto Well first of all any jobs it will produce is good also it will help lower the price of oil and lower the dependence of N America from foreign oil. There are already hundreds of pipe lines that cross the United States so the environmental impact would be negligible.

Royce Belle Not looking to debate, I just ask that you consider this. This is Canadian oil destined for export to places other than the U.S. Also, the distance to the Canadian Pacific Coast is shorter than Alberta to Texas. Why not run the pipeline across Canada and create jobs for Canadians, keeping in mind that this is a Canadian country.

John Prieto Well thee revenue generated for the U.S. Will also come from the transit of the oil right now it would be more expedient to pipe it to a warm water port in the Gulf of Mexico then truck it to the Canadian west coast especially in winter. Also the U.S. Would generate money by refining it on the gulf coast as well.
